The Garden

Well I tried to get the garden started this winter as you know. I got it started but I could not keep it going. I am working on a better way to set things up to make it work much better. I got a bunch of seeds in the last two weeks. I am looking to start them this week I think. If I can get them started and then after the last frost I hope to get them in the ground. My first raised bed should need just a little work to have it up and running. Hopefully this will work. I think that heating was my big problem in the basement. I hope I can seal that up and get enough heat to make it work for next year. I am also looking at getting a Aeroponic grow setup. they are just expensive. maybe waiting till after next year will have to think about it. Well enough for right now. Need to get the BOB started for real this time. I am going to grab the 3 packs and get working.

Storage and Growth

Today I went downstairs to turn on the grow light for the garden and what to my wondering eyes should appear but everything has sprouts just not the Petunia's. I am ok with that thou, I will be transplanting in a few weeks I think. I am so glad. Also I got some more food stored up today I am really making leaps of late. I will hopefully have all the Credit Cards paid off after April I am hoping. I am also looking to get another dog he is a 1/2 sheperd , 1/2 Collie he is so loving he is a bit older he is 7. We are talking about it before we make any big jumps like that. I would be happy with him and his name is Charlie. Well I will grab a few pics tomorrow and post them as well as pics of the garage door I have to get insulated before the temp drops again. and for good. Well that is all for right now.

Doing good

So last night after work I came home and checked my garden and to my surprise I have daisies sprouting and Basil. My wife is all about the basil I am just glad things seem to be doing good. I am going to start a link list of the sites that I get seeds from for this cool garden I have going. I think it will be time to start more veggies. This morning was the first real frost of the year. The temp was 38 degrees at 7:30. My basement needs a few more tweaks before the winter rolls in and makes work down there impossible with the hole. Tonight I hung the family Heavy Bag. It has been on the list of things to do for a very long time. (A full year I think.) Now it is up. Next is organizing my toolboxes and start working on my BOB's. Well enough for now. More to come tomorrow.
